Therefore, trace metals need to be controlled in cell culture media used for bioproduction. We will start with some examples of trace element-related investigational events and sources of variation, followed by some scientific understanding of impact of trace metal element (TE profile) to cell culture, and as a way to mitigate, some recommendations.
